Okay, let have a look at how to make a magazine holder at home. Well last days I was looking for a magazine holder to organize all the magazines that were lying all over the table of my drawing room. So I went to a few markets and looked for magazine holders. Frankly speaking I found the ones that were really of a poor quality: I didn’t like the color, and their texture was too weak that I was sure that it would not even handle even 10 magazines. On the other hand I found the ones that were better in quality but far too expensive to suit my budget. Besides, I was not purchasing something huge or very important for which I should have spent a huge amount.
So I came home with the idea to try making one by my own. I started the task by getting some basic idea over the internet. I really found out that I was too easy to make one at home, and I felt lucky not to buy those expensive magazine holders from the market. I needed some box made of hard cardboard, this was the most important thing, because if I used a weak cardboard the magazine holder would not be able to last much longer. I went to the store room and there were enough boxes from which I chose one. It was pretty strong box, and I was completely satisfied in us it.
I placed a magazine over the box to mark the size of magazine on the box. Then I carefully cut it with the help of a utility knife. It was so simple; I found a nice colorful and decent fabric which was a leftover from my daughter’s memo board. I wrapped the fabric over the box very nicely and neatly by using strong gum. There is one reason I didn’t use paper or gift wrapper, well I knew it would not last longer and I would again have to change its outer cover. I also overlapped the fabric around the box to give it a neat look. I let it dry, so that the glue and fabric become tight and dry and after a day I as ready to place all the magazines inside the magazine holder.
It’s so simple and anyone can do it at home. You should also try it and tell us about your experience.
